Fallen Empire
Created for the Unreal Engine Fellowship: World Building. The concept grew from creative parameters that led me to research Romanesque architecture and the Renaissance art style. The challenge was to build a decayed Romanesque exterior in an early-modern era: a Roman place taken over by an outside civilization.
I set out to do everything inside Unreal, applying what I learned in the program: blockout, set dressing, modeling, lookdev, lighting and post process were all done in Unreal Engine 5.0.1. Gaea generated the heightmap used with the landscape tool, with displacement through runtime virtual texturing.
